Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and neither is my approach. Just as every person is unique, so too is the way we work together. On this page, you’ll find more about the therapeutic models that inform my practice and how I integrate them to support your personal growth and wellbeing.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and this means I draw on psychological perspectives that allow me to tailor the work to each individual’s unique needs and circumstances.
My training is grounded in both humanistic and psychodynamic approaches, with a strong awareness of the historical, social, and cultural contexts that shape each person’s experience. This foundation is further enriched by extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which provides practical tools for navigating thoughts, behaviours, and emotional challenges.
For the past 17 years, I’ve incorporated Mindfulness and MBCT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy) into my practice. I’ve facilitated regular groups for depression and anxiety based on these principles, helping many clients develop effective coping strategies and reconnect with a sense of vitality and balance.
More recently, I’ve trained in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a model that supports compassionate and authentic communication. I’ve delivered workshops on anger management and emotional regulation, with a particular focus on strengthening self-esteem and resilience in the face of life’s difficulties.
